Effective: 27 August 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of AuthorForge, operated by Neochic Digital Ltd. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter these terms. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and update it as needed.
AuthorForge is an author-publishing productivity platform offering book drafting, cover generation, audiobook production, sales analytics, marketing tools, websites, landing pages, and social scheduling. Some features are gated to paid tiers as shown on the Pricing page. We may add, change, or retire features at any time.
Paid plans are billed recurring (monthly or annually) via Stripe until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current period except where required by law. Prices are shown on the Pricing page. We may change pricing on reasonable notice; existing renewals continue at your then-current rate unless stated.
You retain all rights to the manuscripts, books, cover assets, and marketing content you upload or create ('Your Content'). You grant Neochic Digital Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit, process, and generate derived outputs (such as AI drafts and audiobook audio) from Your Content solely to provide the service to you. You warrant that you have the rights to upload Your Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.
AI features produce assistive output that may be inaccurate, unoriginal, infringing, biased, unsafe, or unsuitable. You are the publisher and remain responsible for reviewing, editing, fact-checking, rights-clearing, labelling where required, and deciding whether any output may lawfully be published, distributed, advertised, or sold. We do not guarantee that an output is accurate, original, registrable, non-infringing, or fit for a particular purpose.
You agree not to:
If you publish or sell books, downloads, services, subscriptions, merchandise, or other products through AuthorForge, you are the seller and publisher of record unless a checkout expressly identifies another seller. You are responsible for product descriptions, prices, taxes, licences, delivery, refunds, cancellations, consumer rights, advertising claims, accessibility, age restrictions, and all permissions relating to the content or goods you offer.
AuthorForge provides tools and infrastructure; it does not pre-approve your content and does not become its author, publisher, agent, legal adviser, tax adviser, or merchant merely because the platform helped generate, host, promote, or deliver it. We may remove or restrict material, listings, accounts, or access when reasonably necessary for security, rights protection, legal compliance, or enforcement of these terms.
Where forums, comments, reviews, profiles, or shared material are available, you remain responsible for what you post. Treat others respectfully; do not harass, threaten, doxx, deceive, or publish illegal or infringing material. We may moderate, preserve, restrict, or remove content and may cooperate with lawful requests from courts, regulators, or law-enforcement bodies. Reporting tools do not transfer responsibility for your content to us.
You may connect external services (such as Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Stripe, or social platforms). You do so at your own risk and must comply with each platform's terms. We may not support every platform or posting capability. Social scheduling currently uses a manual 'one-click publish' handoff rather than automatic posting on your behalf, unless we separately notify you of automated posting for a given platform.
The AuthorForge software, branding, templates, and documentation are owned by Neochic Digital Ltd. These terms grant you no right to them beyond using the service as intended.
The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available'. We make no guarantees regarding sales results, platform approvals, search rankings, uptime, or that the service will meet your specific needs. Any reliance on AI output or analytics is at your own risk.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or rights and remedies that consumer law does not permit us to exclude. Subject to those protections and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Neochic Digital Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, sales, opportunity, goodwill, or data. Our total aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify Neochic Digital Ltd against claims, damages, and costs arising from Your Content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of third-party rights or applicable law.
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, non-payment, or harmful activity. On closure, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention duties.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, except where consumer protections give you a right to your local courts.
